Kloster Michaelstein in Gefahr

Das Land Sachsen-Anhalt will seine finanzielle Unterstützung des Klosters Michaelstein im Harz reduzieren. Das Kloster hat viele internationale Konferenzen zum Thema Musikarchäologie ausgerichtet, die bei den Teilnehmern unvergessen sind ob der wunderbaren Atmosphäre dort (Lurenkonzert auf den Fischteichen ...)

The foundation Michaelstein is financed by the country Saxony-Anhalt, the district Harz, and the city of Blankenburg. Now, the council of the district Harz wants to reduce its financial contribution. The result could be that we are not able to continue with the organisation of the well-known international conferences on musical instrument making and also on the performance practice of music. Besides that this reduction can also threaten the further work in our museum, especially the educational work for children or the restoration of musical instruments.
